Plextol DV 455 is an aqueous emulsion of a self-crosslinking acrylic polymer. The crosslinked film is soft, only slightly extensible and tack-free at room temperature. The film exhibits good lightfastness and resistance to weathering and aging. is insoluble in water, resistant to many acids and alkalis and virtually insoluble in organic solvents. It is used in the bonding of fibrefills for the upholstery, clothing and bedding industry. It is also used in boilproof and dry-cleanable finishing, coating and lamination of textiles and non-wovens. In this specific case it is necessary to take into account the fact that it is already out of date, which can have an influence on the product's characteristics and consequently on its final application.
