N-Propanol is a clear, low-viscosity, neutral liquid with a characteristic alcohol odor. The product is miscible with all common solvents, such as alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers, glycols and aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is used as a solvent in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, polishes, dental lotions, coatings, lacquers, printing inks, natural gums, pigments, intermediates, dye solutions, antifreeze, fuel additives, paint additives and de-greasing fluids. In this specific case it is necessary to take into account the fact that it is already out of date, which can have an influence on the product's characteristics and consequently on its final application.
