Acc. Perkacit ZDBC is a vulcanization accelerator for natural rubber and latex and a stabilizer for rubber-based adhesive systems, isobutylene-isoprene copolymers and polypropylene. It is used in a number of rubber and rubber-based materials for food packaging and food handling. It is also approved for use within allergenic epicutaneous patch tests which are indicated for use as an aid in the diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis. In this specific case it is necessary to take into account the fact that it is already out of date, which can have an influence on the product's characteristics and consequently on its final application.
